Choosing your poster size

This diagram shows you how big your poster will be. Exact dimensions and prices are listed below, along with some hints on preparing images for uploading.

Standard UK paper size is A4 - that's the smallest size in the diagram.

We print larger sizes right up to A0.

Paper
and ink 		We print onto high quality paper 198gms - that's twice as thick as magazine posters. We use Durabright inks, lightfast in excess of 75 years.
Canvas
 The canvas is 330gms artist's canvas that has been coated to accept ink.
No border We print right to the edge of the paper or canvas with no border. If you want a border mention it in special instructions.
Digital
camera
images

You can upload images from a digital camera as long as they are no more than 6Mbytes.* You can also use Photoshop or anther image editor to to crop, enhance or add text before uploading. 300dpi resolution is top quality but posters look great even at 150dpi.

*If your file size is more than 6mb, then please email separately to this address.

If it's larger than 10mb please send file on CD to the address below.

Please note that images with a file size of less than 300kb are unlikely to be of sufficient quality to use.
Upload
format		 You can upload JPG or PDF files. PDFs should have all fonts embedded and print/press quality images. Make sure they're 6Mbytes or less.

enhancement		 We may perform automatic image enhancement and crop to the main subject of the photo. Please specify in the special instructions you do not want this.

Fitting your image onto the paper

Aspect ratio is the ratio of length to width. The A series of paper sizes have an aspect ratio of about 4.25:3 but digital cameras are 4:3.
 So to make your image fit we will have to crop a little from one end, keeping the main subject of course.
  To avoid cropping prepare your image in Photoshop (or similar) and crop it yourself to a 4:25 aspect ratio.
